Madison 185 litre water barrel - with water feature fountain
The Algreen Madison has been designed to be an attractive water fountain, and at the same time store rain water in the 185 litre barrel. For easy pressurised watering a hose can be fitted to the fountain, alternatively the attached hose can be used to fill a watering can or empty the barrel. Polished pebbles placed on top of the screen guard completes the attractive appearance of the fountain.
The Madison is also sold just as a water barrel without the fountain and pebbles. Up to three barrels can be linked together, with one pump to empty all three.

Planting tips
The Madison has been designed as a water fountain/water barrel, but we have found that with a little careful use of plant trays you can adapt the top of barrel to plant a few alpine flowers, ideal for when you take the pump out during the colder months.

Please note that currently it is not possible to pass a UK plug through the top of the water barrel as the instructions show (the barrels are Canadian and were designed for an American type of plug to pass through). The solution is to run the cable out of the top of the barrel under the screen guard, using the pebbles provided to hide the cable. If an external power point isn’t located close enough to the installation location, we would suggest mounting an IP rated dry box on the wall behind the Madison; this will keep the plug and socket of any extension safe and dry (these dry boxes are available from most DIY stores).
Returns: if the rain barrel is returned due to no fault with it, within the return period, only the cost of the item is refunded and not the cost of ALL shipping (outgoing and return shipping costs).

Madison rain barrel
Although quite pricey, it was well worth it as it looks lovely. Our rain barrel is on show so we wanted something that looked good and this does. The water fountain is a really good touch. Looks loads better than the usual green ones!
